Well, it didn't really matter what her cousin thought. Because when they came the next morning to pick up the others, they were in a deep coma. Jasmine never saw those cousins ever again.

Now, she was no longer scared of entering these places. She knew what to look for, when it'll happen, and if it extends out. Jasmine made her boss real proud. She was his proudest group member. This should have made her happy to be seen as important for the cause. But... she couldn't help but feel...empty." "......"

She surely wasn't going to be disregarded after he gets the kids on his side, right?? He...he still needed her! She was the only one who could see the rift...

He...he needed someone to detect it so he doesn't get dragged in it. That was why she was by his side so often. She was the most important part of this plan, she had to have been there once the kids were fully convinced of the lie.

Yk when we started to really learn english in school, I thought english grammar is like german but more simple. It's like anytime smth complicated happens, english was like "eh we don't need that" and got rid of it. So I thought "oh this is way easier than I thought! It's literally simple german grammar"

And then the tenses walked around the corner

Tenses in german: well theoretically there are 6, but (in spoken language) only 3 are like.. actually used.. sometimes 4. It's literally just "ah a tense for the past. We use that for everything that lies in the past, no matter when it actually happened" "ah a tense for the present" "ah a tense for the future. We use that for everything that might happen in the future, no matter when it might actually happen." "Some regions use a second past tense in spoken language but 99% of its usage here happens on paper"

Speaking a language that you've been learning for a while is scary.

Speaking it with a native speaker is freaking terrifying. Especially if you mess up or say something weird or unnatural for the language you are learning. It's such a horrifying and humiliating experience that one sometimes must go through in order to get better and grow. Don't let it put you down or discourage you.

kind of feel bad about the library post cause they cut off reblogs but holy shit the OP has some stuff to unlearn. Like look, obviously if a USA-ian came through and talked about how "senior politicians consume children in the basement of pizza palours" I'm certainly not going to blog about without a quick google (except maybe as a "lol weird encounter" thing). Because that's some ridiculous shit. And I'm certainly not going to pair it with a "oh I'm so glad that I'm able to go to pizza palours locally where no child consumption happens in the basement" and a "well I'm just relaying what someone told me about their own country" when questioned.

The fact that OP even accepted the thought "yeah clearly a PUBLIC library in China can only be accessed by a select group" instead of like... maybe the patron misunderstood the library to be public or misunderstood his ability to access the library...

And to pair it with "omg look at how these other people misunderstood their access to our library"

It's not even logical. Public library. that's not accessible to the public. maybe something was misunderstood there.

I haven’t seen the writing in this translated anywhere yet. Copied down and attempted translation of what I CAN read so more fluent speakers will hopefully chime in and solve the puzzle.

On the very top left, การ /kaːn/ is a suffix used to make words originally from Pali into nouns; this could be anything short going by bubble size. บริการ  /bɔːríʔkaːn/ means Service, which could work here.

Similar for the ถู /tʰǔː/ (to scrub) in first line (can’t actually see the vowel), but “sweep & scrub” seems to go together well enough.

The last line I’m super, super unsure about-- the way the sentence cuts off doesn‘t help; I’m guessing it’s น่าอยู่ /nâː jùː/ “liveable”, “pleasant to be at” but I can’t tell for sure because the line cuts off at the อ.
